Cathy is an Osteopath who is passionate about health helping people have an improved quality of life.
Cathy trained at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, completing a five year Bachelor and Masters in Osteopathy. She also has experience treating from two multi-disciplinary practices in Melbourne, including one that focused on child and family health.
She moved to London in 2016 to set up her own practice and to complete the diploma of paediatric osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC), in Wandsworth. She practices there every Friday treating newborns, children and pre- and post-partum women. The OCC is at the forefront of international paediatric osteopathy training with over 800 clinical hours and research of childhood conditions.
With adults she may use firmer techniques such as massage and articulation and other manipulative techniques, depending on your needs. Her approach is to listen to the body in order to effectively help you to health.
She uses stretches and some Pilates based strengthening exercises in her management, as well as recommending exercise, that is fun to do. She also likes to work alongside other health professionals such as GPs, acupuncturists and naturopaths to help you function at your best.
When she isn’t working, Cathy attends ballet classes, practices Pilates, yoga and meditation. She loves seeing plays and dance performances, exploring museums, seeing exhibitions and walking through London’s parks.
